I’ve taken note of a lot of common tattoos that may have been intended in a respectful manner, but turn out to be the complete opposite to the culture in question. But, I’ve been looking at Egyptian tattoos lately, and they seem quite commonly used as nonchalant whitegirlesque first tattoos.
I’ve been Googling my heart out and I just can’t find anything on the subject. Who knows much about it? Is it disrespectful to ancient Egyptian/modern day Egypt to get their ancient religious symbols tattooed, if you’re only interesting in the ideology/philosophy of the ancient culture; not actually a believer?
